The research on landscape painting of the Roman Campagna in my works of this first period, is oriented on painting strong, decisive, incisive, painful German Expressionist (painters such as Kirchner, Müller, Nolde, Heckel), a fundamental moment for the art of 'beginning of the twentieth century.

After my artistic orientation focused on the artistic situation in Italy, always at the beginning of the last century, and the Roman School ( Scipione, Mafai, Raphael and all those artists who in time, in the first half of the twentieth century, you are bound School of via Cavour, as Mazzacurati, Cavalli, Gentilini, the first Capogrossi... ) .

Towards the end of this period begins reflection on the works of nineteenth-century Turner, on his studies of pictorial representation by the opposition of the great masses of light and shadow.
